A fantastic opportunity has arisen for local beople and visitores to help shape the future of Belleek village.

Belleek Development and Heritage Group in partnership with Lough Erne Landscape Partnerships wit funding from National Lottery Fund Northern Ireland and through SKS Scotland is gathering feedback from the local community, visitors and wider stakeholders for a Tourism Development Plan for Belleek village.

Please ask eahc member of your household who ios 14 plus to complete the survey in order to provide thge most complete representation of our community. Let us know your views before April 29th 2022 by filling out the short survey at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BelleekCommunity

RAISING CASH AND AWARENESS ACTION MENTAL HEALTH


Fantastic collaboration between community groups, local business and the wider public in raising much needed cash for local mental health projects. A massive thanks to Belleek Development and Heritage Group, Womens Shed Belleek, Belleek Mens Shed, Rooney's Giftstore and The Variety Store. A cheque for £896.86 for Action Mental Health and local projects.

SKS SCOTLAND ARE THE PREFFERED BIDDERS FOR BELLEEK DEVELOPMENT PLAN


After a lengthy tender process undertaken by BDHG Assessment panel SKS Scotland were chosen as the preffered tender to deliver a Development Plan for a Heritage Village. Andy Murie Chair of BDHG said that "it was a lengthy but exciting process to be involved in and we are delighted to have completed the procurement process and  looking forward to working with all the team at SKS Scotland".

FERMANAGH WEB DESIGN TO DESIGN NEW WEBSITE


Local firm Fermanagh Web Design have been chosen to design the new Belleek Heritage Village website and will start before end of March. Belleek Development and Heritage Group have also secured a professional photography session supplied by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to take images of Belleek, its businesess and its community for the new site. Funding for the website was secured through the local business community, individuals and Lough Erne Landscape Partnership supported through funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.


MARINA DEVELOPMENT


Good news on development of the Marina as funding has been identified to make some progress in the development of the Marina.


New fencing, viewpoints, path repairs, signage and biodiversity enhancments are all included within the project. BDHG have asked that lighting on the basis of health and safety should form part of any development in what they see as a first phase.
